Clearwater Living Earns Prestigious ENERGY STAR Certification on Four Arizona Communities

Clearwater Living® announced today that it has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (“EPA”) ENERGY STAR® certification for superior energy performance for all four of its Arizona properties.

"The ENERGY STAR certification for our Arizona properties is a significant milestone in our continuous journey towards greater sustainability within our senior living communities," said Danielle Morgan, CEO of Clearwater Living. "We are honored by this recognition and remain dedicated to exceeding expectations in environmental performance, offering a comfortable and healthy environment for our residents."

The four Clearwater Living properties in the Phoenix area demonstrate exceptional energy efficiency compared to similar properties nationwide. Clearwater Agritopia in Gilbert and Clearwater Pinnacle Peak in Scottsdale both earned ENERGY STAR scores of 98, meaning they are more energy-efficient than 98% of comparable properties across the country. Clearwater Ahwatukee in Phoenix achieved an impressive score of 96, while Clearwater Mayo Blvd, also in Phoenix, received a strong score of 83.

ENERGY STAR-certified buildings and plants are verified to perform in the top 25% of buildings nationwide, based on weather-normalized source energy use that takes into account occupancy, hours of operation and other key metrics. ENERGY STAR is the only energy efficiency certification in the United States that is based on actual, verified energy performance.

“Improving the energy efficiency of our nation’s buildings is critical to protecting our environment,” said Cindy Jacobs, chief of the ENERGY STAR commercial & industrial branch. “From the boiler room to the boardroom, organizations are leading the way by making their buildings more efficient and earning EPA’s ENERGY STAR certification.” On average, ENERGY STAR-certified buildings and plants use 35% less energy, cause 35% fewer greenhouse gas emissions and are less expensive to operate than their peers, all without sacrifices in performance or comfort.

In addition to their impressive energy efficiency, Clearwater Living properties offer a range of living options, including independent and assisted living residences, as well as memory care apartments. Floor plans vary across communities, featuring private studios, shared studios, shared suites, and one- or two-bedroom layouts. Residents enjoy an array of amenities that reflect Clearwater’s signature five-star, resort-style living. These include 24-hour concierge service, housekeeping, multiple culinary venues, , and fitness centers offering yoga and other wellness programs.

Clearwater Living believes purposeful connections with others, shared experiences and community involvement are integral to health and well-being. The company’s Empowered Living® philosophy goes beyond basic care to create opportunities for residents to fulfill their physical, mental and emotional needs through individual choice and community involvement. Diverse programs, amenities and events promote physical activity, stimulate the mind, encourage social engagement and provide an environment that’s perfect for effortless living.
